Kolakchaal
It was completely dark when we started to climb Kolakchaal at 4 am. I was some how sleepy and unconscious at first but after feeling the cool gentle breeze on my face’s skin, I fell into a nice dawn-dreaming!
After a while, light comes up steadily. And there was a wow-like light on Tehran…
I love this city. No matter it’s crowded, polluted and full of traffic jams. No matter it’s dirty, has ugly buildings and bumpy streets. It’s beautiful specially when you look at it from the northern mountains.

I enjoy hiking too! :) Unfortunately, there are no mountains in Indiana. :( However, I have climbed a few mountains in other places. The most memorable was when I went to South Korea with a good friend from there. He and I climbed Solag Mountain, which is sacred to Buddhists. I was so tired when we reached the top, but the view was spectacular!
Do you have a picture of Tehran from the top of your mountain that you could show us?

I have some photos, not lately taken. I think it's better to see this picture. It's taken from Kolakchaal:

Hey Parastoo! how r u doin'?
uhah, seems like u've changed ur mind, huh?! ;) falling in love with tehran with all the dirt, pollution, traffic and bumpy streets!! :0 ;) Don't wanna leave it now!? :) ;)
[just kidding]
okey, well u're doing so many good things to improve ur english! this is great! keep up the good job! :)
well, what I can recommand, other than what u're already doing, is going to one of those well known english classes around tehran and get your TOEFL! Because when u come here in Canada, for any university that u wanna apply for, they'll want u to do an english test like TOEFL, CAEL, CANTEST, etc... and if u get the required score, u'd be admitted to their university, and if not, u'd have to redo it up untill u get the target score!! That means a waste of time and money! so u better do that while u're still in tehran so to spend less money and actually use ur free time efficiently! and if you get a good score in TOEFL and offer it to canada's universities, there would be no obstacle in ur way towards entering university!
so do that if possible!
sorry if the comment got so long! :*>
take care and good luck...

There are many trees and hills in Tehran! Somehow, I didn't expect that. It looks very much like many big cities in the U.S. Thanks Parastoo for giving me the link. :) Tehran certainly looks like the "first world" to me!

I don't know what it is about Tehran that grows under a person's skin. I guess like many other things Tehran is in our blood.
parastoo:
may be you are right. the reason is our blood...

I don't live in Iran, but must admit that everytime I come home and I see Tehran, it's beauty and the sense of home gives me the chills. I agree it is specially beautiful when you see it from the mountains. Hmmm... miss home...
